Rehab and Recovery Therapies
Rehab and Recovery
Rehab and recovery therapy is a branch of healthcare focused on helping individuals regain physical function, reduce pain, and return to daily activities after injury, illness, or surgery. It’s commonly used for athletes, post-surgical patients, people with chronic pain, or those recovering from accidents or neurological conditions.
Dry needle treatment, also known as myofascial point dry needling, involves inserting thin needles into muscles, tendons, ligaments, and scar tissue. The purpose is the target trigger points that are tight and/ or causing pain that may limit mobility. The needles stimulate the trigger points which can help decrease muscle tightness, increase blood flow, and reduce pain.
Dry needling is offered at our clinic in a combined appointment with a chiropractic adjustment.
This is the perfect treatment for areas that need tissue release whether you are dealing with muscle knots, tension in general, or painful areas, this service can help correct the problem.
Red Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-wavelength red or near-infrared light to stimulate healing in the body. Red and near-infrared light penetrate the skin and are absorbed by your cells, particularly the mitochondria (the energy-producing parts of cells). Potential benefits may include:
- Pain & inflammation reduction
- Muscle recovery stimulation
- Wound & tissue healing
- Sleep regulation in some individuals
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine where cups are placed on the skin to create suction. Cupping may be added to a chiropractic session. Some of the benefits of cupping may include promotion of blood circulation, muscle tension relief, pain reduction, improvement in lymphatic drainage, reduction of inflammation and an improved sense of relaxation.
